As captain, Parag has 105 runs in four games at a strike rate of 147.88Samson had started the tournament as a pure batter with 66 off 37 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad and continued to get starts. In his last game against DC, he scored 31 off 19 balls before retiring hurt. واجتمع مارسيل كولر، مع اللاعبين في محاضرة مطولة قبل انطلاق المران، ثم أجرى الفريق عمليات الإحماء وتدريبات بدنية، فيما ركز الجهاز الفني على الجانب الخططي خلال تدريبات الكرة، والذي يرغب في تنفيذه أمام صن داونز.

وخاض رباعي حراسة المرمى محمد الشناوي وعلي لطفي ومصطفى شوبير وحمزة علاء تدريباتهم، تحت إشراف ميشيل يانكون مدرب الحراس.

وشارك حسين الشحات في التدريبات الجماعية بشكل تدريجي، بعد تعافيه من إصابته في عضلة السمانة، التي اشتكى منها مؤخرًا، وأبعدته عن التواجد في المباريات الرسمية.

وخضع الشحات لفحص طبي قبل انطلاق المران، للتأكد من عدم وجود أي شكوى طبية، قبل المشاركة في التدريبات الجماعية.

وحرص أحمد الفاضلي، سفير مصر في جنوب إفريقيا، على حضور المران الأول لفريق الكرة اليوم.

وتابع السفير المصري رفقة طارق قنديل، عضو مجلس الإدارة، رئيس بعثة فريق الكرة بجنوب إفريقيا، المران الأول، واطمأن على سير كافة الترتيبات، وفقًا لما تم الاتفاق عليه قبل وصول البعثة إلى جنوب إفريقيا.

وكان السفير المصري قد حرص على التواجد في مطار جوهانسبرج مساء أمس، لاستقبال بعثة الفريق فور وصولها على متن طائرة خاصة.

Aakash Chopra, the former India opener, has called for changes to the domestic game, including a remodelling of the Ranji Trophy points system and a more reasonable and thought-through calendar for first-class cricket. Chopra was releasing his second book on Indian first-class cricket in New Delhi and his statements on the game – he also said the Duleep Trophy had made itself redundant by turning into a knock-out format – came in the presence of BCCI official and IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla.Chopra, who made his first class debut in 1997-98 and currently plays for Rajasthan after a decade with Delhi, was speaking at the release of . The event was attended by a large number of first-class cricketers from four teams – Rajasthan, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Railways – all gathered in Delhi two days before the start of the third round of Ranji Trophy matches.In a discussion with Amrit Mathur, CEO of the Delhi Daredevils franchise, Chopra talked about the crowded domestic calendar that left teams to deal with preparing for a four-day event through the staging of a Twenty20 tournament. “All first-class players would be happy to play eight months a year but it needs to be more sensibly organised. You have two four-day events, two T20 events and two one-day tournaments. This year we played the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament before the Ranji Trophy kicked in. We prepared for the four-day game by playing with the white ball.”The Duleep Trophy’s knock-out format, he said, had robbed the tournament of its stature. “I used to love the Duleep Trophy, performing in it meant performing against the best in the country. But with a knock-out format it is meaningless because your chance has gone if your team loses.” The logic behind using the Kookaburra ball in the Duleep Trophy, he said, was also undermined by the format. “If you play just one match with the Kookaburra, you don’t get enough muscle memory on how to play with it. Once a year with the Kookaburra is not enough.”The Ranji Trophy points format awarding three points for a first innings lead and five for an outright win served no purpose, as the difference between a victory and a draw was a mere two points. “We need to reward and encourage teams to win matches, bigger incentives say 10 points for winning a game, and bowling and batting points so that the losing team goes away with something. We need to find a better solution.”The IPL, Chopra felt, was a proven platform for many youngsters but it was unreasonable to expect success in the T20 format to be a launch pad for an India place – and the exceptions who had made the breakthrough had influenced the ambitions of their peers. “There are many players, like Deepak Chahar and Ashok Menaria, who have the ambition for not just the Duleep Trophy but a chance in the India team… The fire is still there for them, but not for everyone. Some players are short-sighted and think that you can can actually bypass the rigours of first class cricket, through the IPL become the next Rahul Sharma… Even if a player makes a name for himself in the IPL, catches the eye, I would still advise him to get a season of first-class cricket under his belt.”Chopra is one of the most prolific contemporary chroniclers of the first-class game, writing columns in newspapers, speaking on television and, with , producing his second book on the Ranji Trophy. His first, , was about Delhi’s victory in the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy season.At Tuesday’s book launch event, Rajasthan’s players were welcomed into the hall and seated at the front, where they watched a short video produced by Rajasthan’s data analyst Manish Goyal with footage from their Ranji-winning season, set to Right Said Fred’s “Stand Up (For the Champions)”. A atuação do Galo no Independência também não agradou o técnico Thiago Larghi, que atrelou a queda de rendimento à quantidade de faltas cometidas pelo time alvinegro, fator que colaborou para a efetiva criação de jogadas a partir de bolas paradas pela Chapecoense.

– Concordo, é um absurdo! Vínhamos com uma das defesas menos vazadas do ano no Brasil, uma média de 0,5 gol por jogo. Uma das cinco melhores (defesas). Situações de evitar faltas. Pedimos muito para os jogadores evitarem as faltas, mas aí, fizemos faltas, e a bola parada entrou. Foi um gol de escanteio, um de falta e um de pênalti (nos dois últimos jogos). Infelizmente, não conseguimos evoluir nesse sentido. Mas continuo acreditando no grupo, acho que os jogadores entendem. Também tenho minha parcela nisso, tenho que colaborar para isso (melhora defensiva) acontecer, como líder do grupo que sou. Vamos melhorar nesse aspecto também, tenho certeza disso.

Na visão do treinador, o ponto inicial para a correção do problema é que os jogadores lidem melhor com suas emoções em campo e mantenham a calma, evitando cometer faltas, o que vai impedir que a partida seja parada e ajudará a equipe a conseguir uma boa sequência de jogadas.

– Tem que ter um pouco de paciência na hora (da marcação), saber sofrer também, evitar chegar de qualquer maneira. Faz parte do jogo, mas é um perigo, tem que segurar a jogada e evitar faltas.

Após o empate frustrante em casa, o treinador garantiu que vai voltar a trabalhar para encontrar uma formação que tenha entrosamento eficaz entre os jovens e os atletas mais experientes que formam a defesa alvinegra, uma das melhores do torneio no início da temporada.

– A gente precisa que essa mescla funcione bem. Há pouco tempo tínhamos 17 jogos sem tomar gol, se não me engano, ou 25 jogos. Não tomamos gols. Primeira vez que tomamos três gols foi na semana passada, e agora, em um ponto fora da curva, tomamos outra vez. Temos que aprender com o que aconteceu, para que isso não possa se repetir.

O plano já era ver melhorias diante da Chapecoense, um adversário que poderia ser dominado pelo time alvinegro, segundo o treinador, mas o resultado esperado não veio e coube a Thiago Larghi se desculpar com a torcida.

– O jogo de hoje (sábado) sim. A gente tinha que ter progredido, não poderíamos tomar os gols que tomamos. Lamento de forma muito forte. Era um adversário que tínhamos total capacidade de neutralizar. Falamos disso hoje, que temos que amadurecer, entender este momento e essa situação.

A passagem de Argel Fucks foi a terceira pelo clube catarinense.Nela, o técnico obteve 14 partidas, sendo sete derrotas, cinco vitórias e dois empates, somando 40,4% de aproveitamento.
