Signed on a free four-years-ago Milner has been a superb signing and, if he can lift the Champions League, surely his already high-standing in the game will sky-rocket.

Amid all the talk of Paul Pogba and his future, one man who has seemingly slipped under the Manchester United radar has been Ander Herrera. The Spaniard confirmed his departure from the club after a five-year stay earlier this month, and whilst many United fans may not miss his footballing ability as much, his work ethic and never-say-die attitude certainly made him an unsung hero. But if reports are to be believed, the Red Devils have already turned their attention towards the future. Step up, Sean Longstaff.

According to The Telegraph earlier this week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are ready to make an opening bid for the Magpies midfielder, and that ‘developments are expected over the next few days’. The 21-year-old has enjoyed his breakthrough year in the Newcastle first-team this campaign, and was awarded with a bumper four-year contract last November. It has been a meteoric rise for Longstaff, but he has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.

His composure and assurance on the ball have been remarkable, but as United fans will attest to, they already have a Pogba on their hands. But therein lies the difference. For all of his technical quality, Longstaff has embraced the fundamentals under Rafa Benitez; working for the team, relentless running and putting the team first. Those three traits alone would endear him as an Old Trafford darling, for whom seeing their ‘Hollywood’ stars work for the cause has become a distant memory.

Indeed, with the departure of Herrera on a free transfer, United will be losing the one midfielder in the squad that seemed to relish the off-the-ball work. The hounding, the snapping into tackles, and put simply, being a right nuisance. He was a dream for his fellow United players, and a nightmare for the opposition. Longstaff would bring all that and much more; a star willing to putting his life on the line for a block at one end, and then racing up the other for a 30-yard thunderbolt.

The 21-year-old’s ability to play the right pass and always looking like he has all the time in the world have naturally drawn comparisons with former United midfielder Michael Carrick. But, whilst Benitez admits that the similarities are there, the Spaniard was keen to point out that his midfield prodigy just has that little bit extra to his game. He said (via The Guardian): “I can see that (the Carrick likeness). But, at this stage, Sean has more mobility and stamina. Certainly he has the technique and he can use both feet as well.”

Valued at £2.25m by Transfermarkt, Longstaff’s star has since continued to rise, and a move to the Theatre of Dreams would hold no fear for him. Whilst his signing would represent an immediate upgrade on Herrera, for United fans, their hope will be that he turns out as the long-term Michael Carrick replacement they have been crying out for so long.

بدأ بيرلو مسيرته التدريبية في أغسطس الماضي مع يوفنتوس، ليحل محل المُقال ماوريسيو ساري، الذي خرج من دوري أبطال أوروبا وكأس إيطاليا، وخسر السوبر الإيطالي مع الفريق، وحقق لقب الدوري بشق الأنفس.

فابريزيو رومانو، الصحفي لموثوق بالميركاتو، وكذلك موقع “كالشيو ميركاتو” الإيطالي، والعديد من التقارير الإيطالية، أكدت أن بيرلو أوقف عملية بيع 3 من لاعبي الفريق في الصيف.

أبرز اللاعبين الذين أوقف بيرلو بيعهم، كان أدريان رابيو الذي كان مطلوبًا في الدوري الإنجليزي، لكن المدرب الإيطالي أكد لإدارة النادي أنه معجب بامكانياته.

بالإضافة إلى رابيو، الثنائي دانيلو وميريح ديميرال، حيث أن الأول يعتبر جوكر بالنسبة لـ بيرلو، يلعب كقلب دفاع هذا الموسم، بالإضافة لـ ظهير أيسر، رغم أنه في الأساس ظهير أيمن.

ميريح ديميرال، كان عائدًا من إصابة بقطع في الرباط الصليبي، لكن بيرلو فضل استمراره، وأكد على ثقته في امكانياته، بعد المستوى المبهر الذي قدمه الموسم الماضي قبل الإصابة.

With the summer transfer window open and ready for business, West Ham are expected to be one of the big players in the market.

The Hammers need to sell, sell, sell and buy, buy, buy in a long-term bid to achieve the promised land of European football, with manager Manuel Pellegrini ambitious the club can reach this aim within the next few years, and bringing in quality players will be a good step forward in the right direction.

West Ham have so far this summer been linked with names that will more than improve their starting XI, and now according to Claret and Hugh, the east London side are interested in Liverpool attacker Xherdan Shaqiri, who is likely to leave the Merseyside club this summer.

Although the Swiss international has dropped off the boil in the second half of the season for the Reds, there is no question that Shaqiri would be a major coup for the Hammers, and that Pellegrini must do all he can to sign the former Bayern Munich man.

Able to play on either wing and behind the striker, the 27-year-old forward will be a solid option for the Hammers next season if the club decides to go in for Shaqiri, adding a lethal option in the final third and making West Ham’s attack a lot more scary on paper.

With Liverpool willing to sell, West Ham must go all in for Shaqiri this summer, who will add more goals to the attack and bring an added layer of flair and entertainment to the club.

تحدث حسين الشحات لاعب فريق الكرة بالنادي الأهلي عن فوز ناديه بلقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا للمرة التاسعة بتاريخه على حساب الزمالك.

وفاز الأهلي على الزمالك ليتوج بلقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا، في مباراة القمة التي جمعت بينهما في نهائي البطولة الإفريقية على استاد القاهرة، بعد فوزه بهدفين مقابل هدف، ليحقق اللقب التاسع في تاريخه.

وقال حسين الشحات في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “الأهلي”: “كان لدينا إصرار على تحقيق البطولة والحمد لله حققناها مع 4 مدربين”.

وعن أصعب المباريات في دوري أبطال إفريقيا؟، أجاب: “كل المباريات صعبة، ولكن مواجهة صن داونز كانت الأصعب لأننا كنا نريد الفوز لرد الاعتبار، وفي كل المباريات كنا نؤدي بشكل جيد، أمس لم نقدم أداء جيدا وموسيماني أخبرنا بذلك، ولكن الأهم هو الفوز بالتأكيد”.

كيف تعامل معكم موسيماني منذ توليه إدارة الفريق؟، أوضح: “هذه البطولة شارك فيها 4 مدربين لاسارتي ومحمد يوسف وفايلر وموسيماني، مع كل مدرب كنا نريد أن نثبت أنفسنا”.

ماذا قال لك موسيماني بعد ضياع الهدف أمام الزمالك؟، أجاب: “هذه الكرات هي الأصعب لأن المرمى يكون خالي، أنا اتخذت القرار بأن أضعها في هذه الزاوية حتى لا يتصدى لها أبو جبل ولكن لم يريد الله”.

واختتم: “لم أتأثر بضياع الفرصة وكنا نفكر في الفوز، وموسيماني قال لي أكمل ولا تتأثر وأنت تسير بشكل جيد وسنفوز ولا تقلق”.

Here in our It’s a big season for feature, we’ll be taking a look as to why the upcoming campaign is so important for Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez. Of course, his performances on the field have been far from acceptable and United legend Gary Neville even went as far as labelling him as the ‘worst transfer of all time’ (as per The Sun) last month. And, he could affect things this summer as ESPN pundit Steve Nicol believes that Sanchez’s salary will stop the Red Devils from signing Gareth Bale, so he really needs to step up his game as he’s causing more harm than good right now. 

Now, there have been some truly incredible transformations throughout Premier League history, both good and bad. Just look at Fernando Torres or Gareth Bale as examples. But, Sanchez must be up there with one of the most surprising. Upon arriving at Arsenal from Barcelona, the Chilean forward proceeded to make the league his metaphorical playground. In the 2016/17 season, Sanchez scored 24 league goals and assisted 10. Amazingly, he would have actually won the Golden Boot this season with that record.

Yet, this season Sanchez managed just one goal and three assists in 20 appearances. It builds his tally to just three league goals in 32 games for the club, which is pretty shocking. It really is bizarre to watch, a player who was once such a talent seemingly now so poor. Whether it’s a lack of confidence or a system that doesn’t suit him, the difference in the level of performance is staggering.

Sanchez is now 30 and will be 31 by Christmas of next season, making it a defining season in terms of his future at Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown that he isn’t afraid to bring youth into the picture as the likes of Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong featured against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, so he needs to get his act together if he is to even play a part next season. And, the Times reported back in April that even Ed Woodward feels he made a big mistake in handing Sanchez a bumper contract on his arrival, so he’s very much up against it at this moment in time.

The Chilean is still valued at £40.5m (as per TransferMarkt) but would anyone be willing to pay a fee of that amount at this point? It seems highly unlikely. Additionally, Sanchez still has plenty of time left on his contract after initially singing a four-and-a-half-year deal worth a reported £350,000-a-week (as per Spotrac). Should United actually want to get rid of Sanchez, it may be difficult to do so, as surely no club in their right mind would be open to splashing an absurd amount of money (in wages) on a player who’s offered near to nothing at Old Trafford.

With so much money being pumped into him, it’s pretty mind-boggling to think just how much money United are effectively pouring down the drain in regard to his contract. If there’s no improvement, Sanchez risks entering the kind of fall-from-grace bracket Fernando Torres finds himself in and, it will likely be all downhill from there.

وشهدت الدقيقة 22 من عمر الشوط الأول فرصة لـ ليفربول حيث نجح جوتا في استخلاص الكرة، حيث كان متجهًا إلى منطقة جزاء الضيوف.

وفضّل جوتا تسديد الكرة بنفسه بدلًا من التمرير إلى محمد صلاح، الذي كان متواجدًا بجواره وسط رقابة دفاعية أقل.

وفشل جوتا في إيصال الكرة إلى مرمى أياكس حيث قطعها أحد مدافعي الخصم بنجاح، لتظهر الكاميرات ملامح الغضب على صلاح لعدم تمرير جوتا الكرة إليه.

رفض فرانك لامبارد مدرب فريق تشيلسي منح ضمانات مؤكدة للاعب أوليفيه جيرو فيما يتعلق بحصوله على فرص لعب منتظم تحت قيادته.

وارتبط جيرو أكثر من مرة بخطوة الرحيل عن النادي اللندني، في مواسم انتقالية سابقة.

وتجددت التكهنات حول مستقبل النجم الفرنسي في ستامفورد بريدج في ظل حصوله على فرص لعب غير منتظم تحت قيادة لامبارد.

ونجح جيرو في استغلال الفرص التي حصل عليها وقدم أداءً جيدًا وانفجر تهديفيًا، وهو ما أدى إلى توجيه سؤال لـ لامبارد حول ما إذا كان ينوي الاعتماد عليه بشكل أساسي.

وسُئل لامبارد عن ذلك الأمر قبل مواجهة ليدز يونايتد غدًا، حيث رد المدرب: “لا أعتقد أن الأمر يتعلق بمنح أي لاعب ضمانات فيما يتعلق بوقت مشاركاته في المباريات، أعتقد إنه في ظل الفريق التنافسي الذي لدينا، سيكون من الصعب القيام بذلك”.

وأضاف: “كل ما تريده من اللاعبين عندما يكونون خارج التشكيل هو التدرب جيدًا، والانضمام إلى الفريق وتقديم أداء جيد مثلما فعل جيرو، بالطبع هذا يمنحني مشاكل لطيفة على هذا النحو”.

وواصل: “جيرو كان يفعل ذلك دائمًا هنا، لقد لعب دورًا هامًا في تأهلنا إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا، أنا سعيد معه، هو يعطيني مشكلة رائعة حقًا، مستواه جيد ويتدرب بشكل جيد، من الواضح أنني لن أكشف عن فريقي اليوم”.

وتابع في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “فوتبول لندن” الإنجليزية: “هل على جيرو الشعور بالقلق بسبب عدد دقائق مشاركته؟ لا يمكنني الإجابة عن هذا السؤال، كل ما يمكنني قوله هو أنني أمتلك عدة لاعبين يتنافسون في مركزه”.

وأردف: “كان تامي أبراهام يلعب بشكل جيد للغاية لنا هذا الموسم ، حيث سجل الأهداف وصنع التمريرات الحاسمة، هو يظهر صفاته، مثلما فعل جيرو الليلة الماضية، هي منافسة كبيرة بالنسبة لي”.

وأوضح: “لا يمكنني إعطاء تأكيدات وعليك أن تسأل جيرو في هذا الشأن، لا أرى أبدًا أي شيء سلبي من قِبل أوليفيه، وأنا أحترمه كثيرًا”.

Per a report from Tutto Mercato Web, Leicester are interested in pursuing World Cup finalist Ivan Perisic this summer.

What’s the word?

As the Foxes gear up for an assault on Wolves and seventh place next season, signing wingers looks to be a key priority.

In recent weeks Andros Townsend has been the subject of interest, whilst Bertrand Traore has also been in the conversation.

The latest name to attract their attention is the vastly experienced Perisic, who is currently playing for Inter Milan in Serie A.

Tutto Mercato Web claim that the Croatian’s time with the Nerazzurri is unlikely to continue and as a result, Leicester could be his next destination.

No fee is mentioned but Transfermarkt rate the player at a considerable £27m.

Leicester philosophy would go up in smoke

There is no doubting Perisic’s quality. After all, the winger has been one of the most consistent players in that area of the pitch in Europe for a while now.

He was a star for Croatia as they reached the World Cup final last year but his potential signing would go against everything Leicester are building towards.

At 30 years of age, he doesn’t fit the type of profile that the Foxes have been moulding their squad around.

Although experience could be crucial, it would go against one of their major philosophies; developing youth.

The club have a number of young stars coming through at the moment and if Perisic does arrive it would put one of them in considerable danger.

Harvey Barnes featured regularly on the left-hand side once he returned from a loan spell with West Brom but despite not finding his best form, he’s a player that simply has to play next season.

Attaining regular minutes wouldn’t be possible though if the club brought the Inter man to the King Power.

Given the fact it appears as though Leicester are planning for the future, signing Perisic should be forgotten about.
