واستضاف ملعب الاتحاد، معقل السكاي بلو، مباراة الفريقين في إطار منافسات الجولة الخامسة من البطولة.

ونجح رحيم ستيرلينج في تسجيل هدف المباراة الوحيد، لصالح مانشستر سيتي، وذلك في الدقيقة 23 من عمر الشوط الأول. هدف فوز مانشستر سيتي أمام آرسنال

وشهدت المباراة مشاركة النجم الأرجنتيني سيرجيو أجويرو بعد عودته من الإصابة التي تعرض لها في يونيو الماضي.

وشارك أجويرو في اللقاء كأساسي، وقرر المدرب بيب جوارديولا استبداله في الدقيقة 65.

ولم يشارك المصري محمد النني في المباراة، حيث ظل على دكة بدلاء آرسنال.

بتلك النتيجة، ارتفع رصيد مانشستر سيتي إلى 7 نقاط في المركز العاشر، بينما تجمد رصيد آرسنال عند 9 نقاط في المركز الخامس.

Loads of Manchester United fans have been running the rule over their win against Watford, and the reactions aren’t quite what you’d expect.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent arrival being confirmed this week, many would have expected the Red Devils to absolutely trounce Watford at Old Trafford in his “first” game on Saturday, but that was far from the case.

The Hornets will definitely consider themselves unlucky to have left Manchester with no points, having amassed 48 per cent of the possession and a frankly ridiculous 20 shots, with eight of those hitting the target, per BBC’s stats.

To put those numbers in perspective, the hosts mustered just eight shots at Ben Fosters’s goal with five on target.

That was all it took to get the win though, as Marcus Rashford’s coolly taken finish opened the scoring before Anthony Martial doubled the lead in the second half.

Abdoulaye Doucoure gave the visitors a deserved consolation goal late on, and fans are not happy with the performance from Solskjaer’s side.

وتغيب البرتغالي عن مباراتي يوفنتوس أمام كروتوني (الدوري الإيطالي) ودينامو كييف (دوري أبطال أوروبا)، وكان يأمل في العودة على مباراة هيلاس فيرونا المقبلة في الدوري للتجهيز لمواجهة برشلونة وليونيل ميسي بالبطولة القارية بالأسبوع المقبل.

ولكن أكدت الصحيفة الإسبانية الشهيرة أن عينة رونالدو الجديدة قد جاءت إيجابية مرة أخرى، وبالتالي، لن يتمكن من المشاركة في المباراتين المقبلتين وعلى رأسهما برشلونة.

وكان بحسب البروتوكول الطبي للاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم أن على النادي إثبات سلامة لاعبه المصاب بفيروس كورونا قبل أسبوع كامل على المباراة التي يرغب في المشاركة فيها وهو ما لم يتحقق في حالة رونالدو.

Everton claimed another important and impressive win on Sunday when they saw off Arsenal in a 1-0 victory at Goodison Park.

It was the Toffees’ third consecutive Premier League victory and the players have shown great resilience to get their campaign back on track. The most impressive thing of their turnaround has probably been the character and fight by a few of the club’s senior players like Seamus Coleman and Phil Jagielka, who have both been brilliant in their previous two matches.

Jagielka scored the only goal in Sunday’s win over the Gunners, becoming the oldest player (36) to score in the Premier League this season.

Last week Coleman was exceptional in Everton’s 2-0 win at West Ham United where he provided an assist for Bernard to score their second goal of the afternoon.

Everton struggled with consistency this season and manager Marco Silva was often criticised for failing to develop his best starting lineup but Coleman and Jagielka stepped up to plate when the club needed it the most and has put them in a good position to finish the season with a bang.

For the first time of the season, Everton look like they’re finally playing the style of football Silva has been trying to implement at the club.

Their defence has also been nothing short of spectacular, keeping clean-sheets in all three of their last three matches against tough opposition.

The impact Coleman and Jagielka have had on that aspect of their game has been instrumental to their recent success, especially given how poor they were a while ago in defence.

Their leadership qualities have definitely had a major influence on their teammates and Everton suddenly look a completely different and composed outfit.

If those two players continue to bring their experience and pride to the team then it will only help to inspire the rest of the squad to keep on delivering solid performances.

West Ham face one of their toughest challenges of the season against Manchester United on Saturday but they have a great chance of picking up points at Old Trafford if they can take advantage of United’s suspension crisis.

United’s hand forced

Manchester United have seen their two starting full-backs pick up suspensions in recent weeks meaning that neither Ashley Young nor Luke Shaw can line up against the Hammers on Saturday. Young was sent off against Wolves whilst Shaw picked up his 10th yellow card of the season at Molineux.

Shaw and Young are likely to be replaced by Matteo Darmian and Diogo Dalot and West Ham must ensure they make the most of this opportunity by choosing which wingers they will match up against the second string full-backs.

Swap Anderson’s side

Felipe Anderson was the star of the show when these two sides met earlier in the season, the Brazilian scored the opening goal against the Red Devils at the London Stadium.

It remains to be seen who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will start at left-back, but either way, it should be Anderson who faces them – allowing him to ear down the touchline on his stronger foot to expose his opposite number’s weaker one.

Playing Anderson on the right for the first time this season would be a wise move for this game, the 25-year-old would consistently have the beating of a wrong-footed full-back and be able to deliver crosses from his favoured foot into the aerial threat of Marko Arnautovic.

Of course, playing Anderson out on the right eliminates his ability to cut inside and shoot but the winger hasn’t actually scored since December, so his goalscoring capabilities may not be missed at all in this fixture.

وعن تجديد عقده، أكد: “نحن نناقش تمديد العقد، ونريد بالتأكيد استمراره، لكنها كانت فترة صعبة لأننا كنا محبوسين في الفندق لمدة أسبوعين بسبب مخاوف كورونا ولم يُسمح لنا بلقاء أي شخص، لكننا كنا نتحدث”.

Wolves seem pretty well set for the future at the moment. They’ve got a number of young players in the first team who are still some way off their peaks whilst the club are more than ready to establish themselves in the Premier League after a fantastic first term back in the top flight.

However, they also have a number of top players in their youth teams. Niall Ennis has been grabbing most of the headlines for the U23s but another player who’s had a breakthrough 2018/19 campaign is the versatile Ryan Giles.

Wolves U23s currently sit top of Premier League 2, division 2 and Giles has had a huge say in ensuring they’re still in the hunt for promotion to the top division.

With a game to go, Wolves are level on points with Reading but have a considerably bigger goal difference. Southampton, meanwhile, are just a point off the Midlands club and have a game in hand.

It’s certainly all to play for and Giles will be one of the players crucial to where they finish, having already featured in 16 matches. This could be his final year of playing academy football too with Nuno Santo clearly taking a liking to the player.

The 19-year-old was included in the first team’s pre-season training camp last summer whilst he also signed a new deal back in November.

As if that wasn’t enough, he made his senior bow in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury in 2019 and is currently Wolves’ Academy Player of the Year too.

With left wing back Ruben Vinagre attracting the interest of Liverpool, Giles could be his perfect replacement next term and would be an excellent understudy to Jonny.

He is a left-winger by trade but made his first-team debut at left-wing back. He also played there during the academy side’s win over Stoke.

His versatility will be incredibly beneficial and, as we’ve seen with many young players, managers tend to use them in different roles to bed them into the first team picture.

Giles possesses fantastic attacking qualities and once moved further forward last Monday night against Stoke he showed that. He was a menace on the flanks and was unfortunate not to score himself as they won 2-1.

The Telford born player has a wonderful ability to beat his man and it surely won’t be too long before we see him doing it at senior level on a regular basis.

صحيفة “ABC” الإسبانية، أكدت أن اللاعبين وافقوا على مقترح الإدارة بتخفيض رواتبهم، وسيتم تحديد النسبة خلال الفترة المقبلة، ولكن يبدو أنها لن تقل عن 40%.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن ريال مدريد حصل على الموافقة من اللاعبين، في موقف مميز جديد لنجوم النادي الملكي، بعدما رفضوا الحصول على مكافأة الفوز بالدوري الإسباني، من أجل مساعدة النادي.

كشفت تقارير مغربية أن النادي الأهلي قد أنهى صفقة المغربي الدولي بدر بانون مدافع الرجاء خلال الفترة الحالية.

وكان الأهلي قد ضم طاهر محمد طاهر لاعب المقاولون العرب، كأول صفقات الصيف ولمدة 5 سنوات.‏

ووفقاً لموقع “الصحيفة” المغربية، أن النادي الأهلي أنهى إجراءات التعاقد الرسمي مع الدولي المغربي بدر بانون اللاعب الحالي لفريق الرجاء، مستغلا تواجده مع الأخير بالعاصمة القاهرة، من أجل مواجهة الزمالك في دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

الرجاء يحل ضيفاً علي الزمالك مساء اليوم الأربعاء، في إطار إياب نصف نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا وذلك علي ملعب استاد القاهرة.

وأضاف: “بانون غادر معسكر الرجاء بأحد فنادق وسط العاصمة مساء أمس مباشرة بعد إجراء البعثة للمسحة الطبية الخاصة بفيروس “كورونا” حيث جالس مسؤولي الأهلي من أجل إتمام بعض الجزئيات المرتبطة بتعاقده مع النادي القاهري، بموجب عقد يمتد لثلاث مواسم”.

وتابع الموقع: “بدر بانون زار صباح  اليوم الثلاثاء مقر النادي الأهلي حيث التقط صورة رسمية بقميص الفريق وحرص مسؤولو النادي على إنهاء الترتيبات المتعلقة بـ “بروتوكول” التقديم  قبل الإعلان عن الصفقة بصفة رسمية مباشرة بعد نهاية مباراة الرجاء أمام الزمالك المصري، احترامًا لارتباط اللاعب مع فريقه المغربي”.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن بانون سيحصل على 3 ملايين دولار مقسمة على ثلاث سنوات، على أن يحصل فريق الرجاء على مليون دولار.

Liverpool put the pressure on their title rivals last night as they secured an emphatic 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town, with just two games left to play in the Premier League. 

The Reds still have to travel to Newcastle to face Rafa Benitez’s side before welcoming giant-killers Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anfield on the final day of the Premier League season.

Of course, Jurgen Klopp will only have his eyes set on securing an elusive trophy in either the Champions League or in the Premier League at this moment in time, but it may be worth him taking a closer look at one of the club’s youngsters at the end of the current campaign.

Indeed, one youngster who’s making a name for himself in the youth ranks is Bobby Duncan.

Manchester City may not be letting up in the race for the Premier League title but they appear to have gifted Jurgen Klopp a potential Anfield hero, as Duncan swapped Manchester for Liverpool last year.

The 17-year-old has been simply sensational in the current campaign, scoring 25 goals and seven assists in just 34 appearances. It’s clear to see that he’s a special talent and he could play a big part in the future of the club.

Klopp should look incorporate him into his summer plans to give him a taste of what it’s like to be in and around the first team ranks. If he impresses the German and manages to hold his own then there’s no reason as to why he shouldn’t be involved in any senior games next season at Anfield.

He could be Liverpool’s secret weapon as no side will have seen him in action and he could prove to be a real danger off the substitutes’ bench, especially with Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi looking average.

Duncan may not have any experience and he may only be 19 years of age but he’s already done more than enough to suggest he should at least be considered, so Klopp should look to unleash him next season in the cup competitions.
